Australian duo Flight Facilities return with their new single “Need You” which features New Zealand vocalist Nika. The song release is paired with an exciting announcement - their ‘The Return Flight ‘ tour which includes stops throughout the US including a spot on Governors Ball powerful lineup. Flight Facilities made their return from a long hiatus last year with their single “Arty Boy”. Now, the two are back again with another Glassnote Records release with “Need You”.

“Need You” starts with Nika’s enchanting vocals, dramatic synths and a dance-driven drum pattern. They bring the funky flavor on this chill house song and we're loving it. Enter Porter Robinson's World Of Virtual Self With Incredible CGI Music Video For "Ghost Voices"

$

It’s been just about four months since Porter Robinson debuted the first single from his Virtual Self side project, but he still has yet to slow down. Having recently released a futuristic music video for the song "Particle Arts" only to turn around and deliver an epic BBC Radio 1 Minimix, we’ve definitely been kept on our toes month-to-month. Today, Porter has continued his streak by sharing his second Virtual Self visual experience in the form of an official music video for his track “Ghost Voices”.

While the “Particle Arts” video seemed to yield a much more fantastical, futuristic vibe involving digital plants seemingly frozen in time - this latest feels almost eerily realistic. Set in a dark warehouse, littered with computers and oddly enough, ice, the video features the semi-transparent and sometimes faceless 3D physical forms of Porter’s Pathselector and technic-Angel egos. While we’re loving what we’ve seen of Virtual Self’s visuals so far, what’s special about this particular video is that both Pathselector and technic-Angel seem to be answering questions and interacting with fans in the comments. Check out the official video for “Ghost Voices” below and enjoy!

In just a few short days we’ll be heading south with tens of thousands of other music fans for Okeechobee Music + Arts Festival. Now in its third year, this four-day gathering kicks off festival season right with 600 acres of tropical south Florida woodlands, interactive activities, delicious food and, of course, a jaw-dropping 2018 lineup.

As if that wasn’t enough, we’re stoked to be teaming up with Okeechobee for the second year in a row with our Endless Vibes Beach Party. Last year’s beach party was wild with TSIS regulars Kasbo, Louis Futon, Brasstracks and Whethan bringing the heat all Saturday long.

This year’s beach party has an incredible lineup with Flamingosis, Chet Porter, DROELOE, shallou, and CloZee on deck.  As a preview of what to expect, check out more about each artist and some must-hear tracks below.

Flamingosis - (1:15 – 2:15 p.m.)

There’s arguably no better artist to kick off a beach party than the silky smooth Flamingosis. This New Jersey-based producer seamlessly weaves genres like disco and funk with R&B beats to create a chill, irresistible signature sound that resonates with any listener. For an idea of what to expect from this laidback artist, check out “Finesse” and "Glide" below.

Chet Porter - (2:30 - 3:30 p.m.)

One of the acts who's come from ODESZA's Foreign Family Collective and has us extremely exciting Chet Porter. With a chill style that blends glowing synth chords, bouncy percussion and euphoric vocals, this producer embodies the “endless vibes” idea with flying colors. The dreamy “Stay” featuring Chelsea Cutler and remix of Kailee Morgue's "Medusa" are a perfect glimpse into what Chet Porter will bring to Okeechobee’s Beach Stage. Check them out below.

DROELOE - (3:45 – 4:45 p.m.)

Ever since “Lines of the Broken” dropped back in May 2017, DROELOE has become a household name for TSIS. With their heavy involvement with San Holo and his bitbird label, the Dutch duo has consistently proven they’re a force to be reckoned with in their own right. Their vibrant sound shines on each and every release as the two constantly switch things up with varied production styles and guest vocalists, making for captivating tracks that will shine at Okeechobee. For an idea of their infectious sound, stream a couple of their standout tracks below.

shallou - (5 – 6 p.m.)

shallou is the perfect vibe to listen to at a beach party, and we're incredibly excited to have him on board. With an ambient sound that falls somewhere between indie and electronic, this Chicago-based producer combines gentle production with soulful vocals to create an intoxicating blend of sounds. With his set time falling right around sunset, we have no doubt shallou will bring the perfect energy to the table. Check out “Begin” and "Lie" for an idea of what to expect.

CloZee - (6:15 – 7:15 p.m.)

Closing out our 2018 beach party is CloZee, an undeniably unique French producer that’s quickly on the rise. With a self-described “World Bass” sound, her global influence is clear throughout her releases, pulling from both eastern and western styles to create a striking yet danceable signature. Check out “Koto” and "Secret Place" below to get an idea of CloZee’s unmistakable sound.

We can’t wait to see all of our readers at this incredible festival – a select few tickets remain here, but are expected to go quick. See you in the portal!

Childish Gambino Announces Pharos Camping Festival In New Zealand With New Music Experience

Childish Gambino is returning with his PHAROS festival! The last time he did one of these was in Joshua Tree, California where he debuted his new album Awaken, My Love in September, 2016. Donald Glover took to Twitter to make the announcement that he'll be bringing the event to New Zealand this fall, saying tickets are available now at Pharos.earth.

This time he'll be bringing the festival experience back in November where fans can "experience new music" from multiple live performances in domes, which will include special guests.

The last Pharos was a one-of-a-kind experience and it's incredible to hear that it's happening again. He had fans entirely immersed into his world and held her multiple performances in a dome with video projections that had a sort of tribal theme. Fans went into it having no idea what to expect and were hit with his album that really changed up his sound.

He's recent said his next Childish Gambino album will be his last and with him debuting an album at the last PHAROS, we can hope he'll be sharing his new album there once again. He's recently signed a new record deal with RCA records, which Variety had reported his album would be coming this year. This event will take place Nov. 23-25. See screenshots from the app below.

Check out our recap of the last PHAROS here and stay tuned for more info. Enjoy!

PREMIERE | Talented Vocalist SATICA's "You Are Here" Receives Dazzling Future Bass Remix Courtesy Of Rad Cat

Courtesy of Moving Castle, we have received an elaborate remix of SATICA’s standout single “You Are Here.” The original tune, produced by AObeats and Mike Derenzo, was featured on the Long Beach natives debut EP “Drippin’” last October. Prior to “Drippin’”, SATICA was first introduced to the site with her iconic feature on Manilla Killa’s “Youth”. Now today, “You Are Here” gets a dazzling remix from the well versed producer Rad Cat that is deserving of a cozy TSIS premiere.

I may be a sucker for vocal chops, but when I heard them right off the bat I was instantly intrigued. Shortly after, SATICA’s vocal performance is introduced, which could seduce just about anyone. Hip-hop style percussion escorts the track through its angelic journey which eventually climaxes with textured synths. Rad Cat’s revision of “You Are Here” is the type of track you don’t realize you need in your life… until it exists. And once you have it, you never want to let it go… Enjoy!

Tory Lanez has just shared his Sophomore album, Memories Don'e Die. The Toronto rapper has brought on features from Future, Wiz Khalifa, 50 Cent, NAV and more on the 18-track project.

“Lyrically and just the writing of the songs, I just think is at another level. This time, it was more so about like every piece of vulnerability and every piece of truth and things that people just want to know. But the artists just never says—I just gave them that. That's why this album is called Memories Don’t Die, because the memories of this album will never die because [of] how honest it was. And just, at that point that it's going to drop, just in music, you're just never going to forget the memory of this.” - Tory Lanez to Zane Lowe

The production is top-notch throughout as he brought on artists like Cashmere Cat, Aarabmuzik, Benny Blanco and more fitting perfectly with Tory’s sound. Tory actually recently teamed up with Cashmere Cat on another song “Miss You” as a collab with diplo. Here he shows off both ends of his spectrum with chill R&B songs displaying his impressive range of falsetto while also showing off his bars. Enjoy!

Today we are super excited to share with you some new music from GRiZ. GRiZ recently cleared out his social media accounts and replaced the content with pictures of blank pages and cryptic messages like last month’s spoken word poem causing much speculation and confusion with his fans. One of the only other posts on his Instagram teases his upcoming shows at Red Rocks. There has been speculation that GRiZ is quitting music or gearing up for another big announcement. While he has stayed quiet on social media, we fortunately have new music to hold us over. GRiZ has treated us to a feel-good remix of Rudimental’s recent hit “These Days” featuring Jess Glynne, Macklemore, and Dan Caplen.

For his remix of “These Days,” GRiZ infuses his signature, upbeat sound and reimagines it as high-energy electro-funk. Ambient guitar and strings build the power behind the vocalists and culminate into a groovy breakdown. GRiZ incorporates his sax with horns from the original and overlays punchy, hip-hop-style percussion. His remix of “These Days” elevates the track and emboldens its nostalgic vibe.

While there is still no word as to what GRiZ has planned for the future, we would like to think this new release is a good sign. You can check out this and the other remixes from Rudimental’s These Days remix EP, available now via Asylum Records. Stay tuned for more information on GRiZ and what else he has in store. Enjoy!

Today we’re excited to be featuring rising rapper Armani White on TSIS once again. We last heard the talented artist on his “Rewind” collaboration with Louis Futon and Ashe, and now he’s back at it with a must hear new solo single “Public School” off his upcoming project that's coming soon.

It's been almost a year since we year Armani drop a solo song with “NYC Window” that took an acoustic approach showcasing his rapping and songwriting, and now he unleashes some straight BARS on us. The bouncing production has a bright vibe throughout laying the foundation for Armani to go in on, changing his flows throughout.

Armani is a talented rapper but this blew me away. He has an ability to switch his flow on a moments notice, reminding us of Isaiah Rashad in the best way possible. We liked Armani before but now can't wait for what's next. Stay tuned and enjoy!

Any new Lane 8 is cause for celebration around here. Even though we’re still rinsing out his latest album, Little By Little, which dropped in mid January, Lane 8 has just come through with the latest edition of his seasonal mixtape series, the “Lane 8 Spring 2018 Mixtape”. If you’ve been a fan of Lane 8, then you know the drill: three full hours of some of the most chill and therapeutic deep house that you can listen to.

It’s honestly incredible how someone can put out such lengthy, quality and cohesive mixes with such consistency. After doing the math, Lane 8 has put out fourteen and a half hours of smooth house mixes in the past twelve months, dating back to his Spring 2017 mixtape. Usually with a mix series like that, hosts will bring on guests to contribute, but Daniel Goldstein is doing it all on his own.

If this is your first introduction to Lane 8’s mixtape series, then get ready to dive in. Enjoy!

Dirtybird’s Fisher Drops Highly Anticipated Tech-House Banger “Crowd Control”

After months of anticipation, rising house artist Fisher’s brand new single, “Crowd Control”, is finally here. If you’re unfamiliar with Fisher, he’s one of Dirtybird’s relatively newer artists who’s been absolutely slaying it on every front. You’ve most likely heard his biggest hit so far, “Stop It”, which nearly every house DJ has been playing out for the past year, also widely known as “the rollercoaster song.”

We knew that Fisher would have to follow “Stop It” with another huge track, and he’s done exactly that. With “Crowd Control”, Fisher is showing the tech-house world that he is a king of basslines, cooking up unbelievably catchy rhythms that you simply can’t help but move to. He’s now officially released four tracks as Fisher (he’s also ½ of Aussie house duo Cut Snake), and each one of them is a weapon. The man has been on fire ever since he stepped into the ring, and you can tell he’s loving every second of it.

A quick look through his Instagram shows how much fun this guy is having and we can definitely hear that through the energy of his music. It’s just so infectious. Fisher embarked on his Crowd Control tour last month just after playing at Dirtybird Campout East, and will continue to swim around North America until late May. If you have a chance to catch him at a city near you, we urge to do so. Until then, get your weekend started by bumping “Crowd Control”, loudly. Enjoy!

The new single shows a bit of a different sound from what we've heard from the young artist and puts his knack for melody on full display. The Chicago native takes a hybrid approach on this new song with verses that showcase both his smooth rapping and catchy singing atop the chill production highlighting some skittering trap-inspired percussion. SG Lewis Shines On Uplifting Electronic R&B Song "Coming Up"

SG Lewis is an artist for which we have been paying close attention since he first dazzled with his official remix of Disclosure’s “Magnets”. The atmosphere that he creates on singles such as “Holding Back” and “All Night” is one that cannot be replicated. In January, the UK artist announced his debut album alongside the first featured single, “Aura”. Today, SG Lewis has gifted a second album single titled “Coming Up”, an up-tempo release that precisely embodies SG Lewis’s character.

Danceable drums, a contagious bassline and wispy vocal-pads kick things off; three elements which SG Lewis has previously exploited and mastered. A vocal accompaniment is eventually introduced, fitting with the production seamlessly. Eventually peaking with a chorus that will be involuntarily engraved in your brain, “Coming Up” is yet another impressive release from SG Lewis. A release that has us impatiently waiting for the rest of this project. Enjoy!

Just about a month ago, ZHU got the electronic music world buzzing with a tweet that there would be a forthcoming collaboration with the highly acclaimed Australian band Tame Impala. At the time we could only imagine how awesome it would be to combine two of the most sought after artists within their respective genres and having them collaborate on a track. Today, that anticipation ends with the official release of their new track "My Life"

"My Life" features the intoxicating vocals of Kevin Parker, the lead singer and frontman of Tame Impala, with ZHU providing the production and additional vocals.
"My Life" has such a smooth and lulling vibe to it that it feels like listening to the soundtrack of a good dream you may have had. The combination of artists proved to be the perfect collaboration on this incredible new song. This track is definitely something that we will be having on repeat for quite some time. We hope you dig it just as much as we do. Enjoy!

Jauz Teams Up With josh pan And YOOKiE On Heavy, Experimental New Single “Dinner Chat”

$

It’s only been a few months since Jauz launched his new label, but the LA-based producer has already been incredibly busy so far as head of Bite This!. Having stayed relatively quiet over the past five months apart from teaming up with Zeds Dead on a recent collab, Jauz’s forthcoming debut album has undoubtedly been taking up most of his time. Today though, it seems Jauz has restarted his release streak by joining forces with fellow LA bass-heads josh pan and YOOKiE on a brand new banger of a track, titled “Dinner Chat”.

Jauz, josh and YOOKIE took things in an awesome, experimental new direction on this latest offering. Characterized by deep pulsing bass, wonky, skittering drum breaks and shrill, retro synth stabs - “Dinner Chat” is an incredibly unique blend of both house and bass influences from all three producers.

“I’m in the studio, working on music, while Josh and YOOKiE were coincidentally in the next-door studio, working on what then became ‘Dinner Chat’. I was really digging it, and a little while later I hit them up to see if I could play it out in my sets. Turns out they hadn’t finished the song yet - so the guys sent it back to me to contribute in finishing the track and it ultimately turned into this collab!” - Jauz

Although Jauz has confirmed that this latest release will not be part of his apparently 17-track debut album, rumor is that “Dinner Chat” will be included on the next Bite This! compilation. Check out “Dinner Chat” below and enjoy!

Today we’re stoked to premiere a stunningly smooth single titled “WESTWORLD” from rising vocalist EVAN GIIA. In addition to making her TSIS debut with this track, GIIA earns a well-deserved spot as the first-ever female project released on ODESZA’s amazing Foreign Family Collective imprint.

“The first time we heard ‘WESTWORLD’ we were immediately drawn to how much of an anthem it was. We found ourselves coming back to it over and over throughout our last tour. EVAN GIIA encapsulates a lot of the same things that excite us about the future of electronic music. We’re extremely honored to not only represent her on our label but also to work with someone with such vision, talent and determination.” - ODESZA

With an effortless tone and refreshing production to match, “WESTWORLD” is a perfect fit for the Foreign Family Collective's signature sound we've loved from each and every release. While GIIA’s vocal style is undeniably breezy, she holds her own on a bouncy drop brimming with pulsing percussion and playful synth melodies. The song belongs to her voice as much as it does to the production, and the result is an infectious offering that will have you hitting repeat again and again.

"I am honored to be the first female project released on FFC" says GIIA. "WESTWORLD is about having the courage to break free from social norms and pursue what makes you happy. I hope the song inspires listeners to go out and do the things they love." GIIA is heading out on tour with fellow FFC artist Kasbo -see dates below. Check it out below and enjoy!

Chance The Rapper Confirms That He’s Been Working With Childish Gambino On New Music

$

It sounds like two of America’s most beloved performers have some music that they’ve been working on together.... for years.  Chance The Rapper made an appearance on Pitchfork’s In Sight Out conversation series last night, which took place within Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art. While talking to Pitchfork, Chance let the public in on what he’s been doing recently in regards to his musical activities, and it involves Childish Gambino.

There’s been a rumor floating around the internet for a while, that Chano and Childish have been working on a collaborative mixtape. While Chance confirmed that this was at first, nothing more than a rumor, he did admit that the two have had the opportunity to work on a few songs together. “We perpetuated that rumor for a long time without recording anything,” he said while laughing, "We did link up in Atlanta and record some tracks and...they’re amazing."

While there may not be an actual Chance the Rapper x Childish Gambino mixtape in the works, we do have confirmation that the two have completed some songs together. As long as those eventually see the light of day, we’ll be happy.

Rae Sremmurd Want To Make Full Project With Childish Gambino During Joint Tour

Childish Gambino is coming back in a big way after four years off from touring. Not only is he doing a PHAROS festival in New Zealand, but he’s also announced his headline North America tour with support from Rae Sremmurd. Not only are they hitting the road, but Swae lee of Rae Sremmurd is saying they’re “gonna come together and make a whole project.”

After a Reebok event the duo spoke to Billboard revealing some ambitious plans while on tour with Gambino saying “I got a laptop with about 1,000 bangers, I know Childish Gambino got about 2,000 or 3,000, who knows? We're gonna come together and make a whole project like, ‘Redbone’ and ‘Black Beatles.”

Donald’s love for Atlanta will hopefully lead to this collaboration as this combination might just be incredible if it actually happens. While we’re hoping some music comes out of this we’re not quite getting our hopes up yet. See tour dates below. Stay tuned for more and enjoy!
